In this contribution we report on the practicle use of special ionic liquids (IL) based on quarternary ammonium (Nx222+) salts with bis-triflamide anion in the stereoselective hydrogenation of MAA(methylacetoacetate) with Ru-BINAP complex as a catalyst.
