Příprava národnostního statutu byla pokusem československé vlády o zlepšení pozice národnostních menšin ve 30. letech 20. století. Součástí studie je srovnávací analýza pozice národnostních menšin ve vybraných zemích (především v Estonsku) v meziválečné době. Studie popisuje z právního hlediska návrhy a pohledy československých právníků na tyto otázky ve srovnání s pohledy menšinových stran, zvláště Sudetoněmecké strany.

The preparation of the statute of nationalities was an attempt of the Czechoslovak Government to improve the position of national minorities in interwar Czechoslovakia in late 30th of the XX. Century. A part of the study is a comparative analysis of the position of national minorities in selected European countries (first of all Estonia) in the interwar period. The study describes from legal point of view the proposals and views of the Czechoslovak lawyers on the questions as compared with the views of minority parties, especially Sudeten German Party.
