    Paleoclimatic records covering the geological boundary of Jurassic and Cretaceous were compared for different regions. The paleoclimatic records were obtained using carbon and oxygen stable isotope analyses of carbonates in sections located in warm Tethyan and cold Boreal regions. Traditional biostratigraphic correlation of these sections was impossible because of different fauna assemblages under different climates of studies areas. The paleomagnetic methods were therefore used as a primary correlation tool instead of biostratigraphy.
