Text přináší nové pramenné informace o formách raně středověkého uměleckého patronátu v Čechách, a to rodiny krále Vladislava I a sester z Bergu a jejich chráněnce, biskupa Meinharda. Cílem je ukázat, že Čechy měly umělecké vazby na německé reformní kláštery 12. století a text tak opravuje v literatuře často uváděnou tezi o izolaci Čech v této době.
The text brigs up new source information on the early medieval art patronage in Bohemia, on the patronage of the king Vladislaus I, the sisters of Berg and their protégé, bishop Meinhard of Prague. It aims to show that Bohemia had early links to German reform monasteries of the 12th century and corrects often presumed concept of the 12th-century Bohemia's isolation.
