Kapitola je věnována tradiční otázce platónského bádání: pravosti Alkibiada Většího. Autor podává přehled dosavadního bádání, poté se kriticky vymezuje vůči nejnovějšímu editorovi Denyerovi. Na základě originální metody podrobné analýzy formálních prvků dochází k závěru, že dialog není pravý.
A chapter is devoted to a traditional question of classical schollarship: the authenticity of Alcibiades Maior. The author presents a review of previous research, then identifies critical points in the position of the latest editor Denyer. On the basis of original methods of detailed analysis of formal elements Boháček concludes that dialogue is not genuine.
