Studie k dějinám české historiografie a politického myšlení 19. a 20. století se zaměřuje na jeden z klíčových bodů českého raně novověkého vývoje – Majestát na náboženskou svobodu z roku 1609 – a ukazuje zásadní proměny hodnocení tohoto dokumentu v závislosti na celkové dobové situaci a na náboženské a politické orientaci různých autorů.
Study in the Czech historiography and political thought in the 19th and 20th centuries focuses on one of the key points of the Czech early modern history – the Letter of Majesty of 1609. It analyses dramatic changes in interpretation of this document in connexion with general contemporary situation and religious and political background of different authors.
