The quantum sized titanium dioxide particles (Q-TiO2) could be prepared by hydrolysis of TiCl4, the final pH is 2.5 and particle size around 7 nm. From the environmental point of view very promissing seems to be the application of new composite materials combining layeres double hydroxides (LDH) and Q-TiO2 nanoparticles. Due to the synthesis of LDH it is important to keep Q-TiO2 particles in alkaline pH without big change of their size.
