Zur Finanzierung der nationalen Aktivitaten des Tschechischen Nationalrates, der 1900 gegrundet wurde, diente ab 1906 der sogenannte Nationalstempel. Dieses kollektives Geschenk in Form einer Marke erwies sich als erfolgreiches Mittel zur Selbstfinanzierung der Nation.

The financing of the Czech National Council, which was established in Prague in 1900, was introduced in 1906 called the National stamp. This public offering of national identity served as an effective way of financing the national collective activities.
