    High levels of CD161 receptor of NK cells are correlated with impairment of NK cytotoxic activity in RA patients. We propose that MCV plays an important role in RA by increasing expression of CD161, which leads to inhibition of NK cell activity and, consequently, insufficient downregulation of autoreactive T cell, thus accelerating disease progression
