Článek se zabývá slovními základy čern- a běl-/bíl- v pomístních jménech Moravy a Slezska. Z celkového množství jmen obsahujících lexémy s těmito základy byly vyloučena jména související s osobními jmény, s místními jmény, s jinými anoikonymy a s předložkovými jmény motivovanými polohou (tzv. nepřímými jmény, která pojmenovávají objekt podle objektu jiného). Soubor zkoumaných anoikonym, který byl podle těchto kritérií vybrán, čítá 391 jmen se základem čern- a 182 jmen se základem běl-/bíl-. Hlavní pozornost je věnována anoikonymům obsahujícím adjektiva černý a bílý, která ve zkoumaném souboru výrazně převažují, opominuta však nejsou ani jména odvozená. Samostatná část stati se zabývá motivacemi vzniku jmen se základy čern- a běl-/bíl-.

The article deals with the bases čern- and běl-/bíl- in the anoikonyms of Moravia and Silesia. From the total sum of the names containing the lexemes with these bases, the names relating to the personal names, place names, other anoikonyms and prepositional names motivated by the position (the so called indirect names denominating the object in relation to another object) were excluded. The corpus of investigated anoikonyms, selected according to these criteria, numbers 391 names with the basis čern- and 182 names with the basis běl-/bíl-. Main attention is paid to the anoikonyms containing the adjectives černý and bílý, which predominate significantly in the corpus under examination (also derivated names are incorporated). A special section of the paper deals with motivational aspects of the names with the respective bases.
