Kapitola shrnuje roli odkazu komunismu, praxe velke privatizace, a legislativnich pravidel zadavani verejnych zakazek ve vyvoji korupcniho prostredi v CR.
The chapter offers an overview of the literature on corruption in the Czech Republic, with the goal of identifying a set of scientific claims that are strongly based in empirical evidence. The chapter summarizes the role of the communist legacy, the practice of large privatization, and legislative rules governing public tenders on the development of corruption environment in the Czech Republic.
