Studie se zabývá postavením poezie a prózy v středověkých tradicích gaelského Irska a keltského Walesu. Představuje základní terminologii, vyhledává příbuzenské podobnosti a srovnáním se snaží objasnit nejasné zjevy, které povstávají z kombinace obou forem a konečně předvádí odlišnosti od dnešního pojetí.

The study deals with the situation of poetry and prose in medieval traditions of Ireland and Wales. It introduces basic terminology, searches for relative similarity between both genres and in comparison enlightens unclear phenomena that arise from combination of both forms and, finally, shows the differencies from today's concept.
