Der Author zeigt, daß Kant im Paralogismen-Kapitel der "Kritik der reinen Vernunft" vom "Ich denke" in einer doppelten Hinsicht spricht, was Horstmann nicht beachtet. Das findet seine Folge darin, daß er Kants Begriff der Seele uminterpretiert und Kants Beweisstrategie in beiden Versionen des Paralogismen-Kapitels falsch bestimmt. Im vorgelegten Beitrag wird dagegen argumentiert, daß Kant in beiden Versionen daran festhält, daß das "Ich denke" durch "unschematisierte" Kategorien wohl denkbar ist, aber es ist dadurch nicht erkennbar.

The author argues that Kant in his chapter on the Paralogisms in the "Critique of Pure Reason" distinguishes between two aspects of the proposition "I think", and that Horstmann ignores this distinction. In consequence of this he misrepresents Kant’s conception of the soul and misconstrues his proof strategy in the Paralogisms chapter. In opposition to this the author argues that in both versions of the chapter Kant insists on that while the "I think" can be thought through "unschematised" categories, it cannot be cognized this way.
