V období druhé republiky začaly filmové organizace a tisk prosazovat nový pohled na českou kinematografii. Filmy měly být plné optimismu, prosazovat pozitivní hodnoty a věnovat pozornost významným historickým obdobím. Českou kinematografii tehdy zasáhla vlna antisemitismu.
In the period of the second republic the film organizations and the press began to exercise a new view of the Czech cinematography. Films should have been forced to be full of optimism, to preach positive values, to draw the attention to famous historical periods. Also the Czech Cinematography was involved in the wave of anti-semitism.
