    From extraction experiments in the two-phase water/nitrobenzene system and gamma-activity measurements, the stability constant of the benzo-18-crown-6–ammonium complex in nitrobenzene saturated with water was determined. Furthermore, the structure of the resulting complex was derived by means of theoretical calculations at the density functional level.
