V předkládané práci je vylíčen otevřený spor mezi městem Turnovem a jeho vrchností, hrabětem z Valdštejna, který probíhal mezi lety 1708-1714 a silně dozníval ještě několik let poté. Z dostupných pramenů je rekonstruován průběh sporu. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována dobové terminologii v oblasti poddanských vztahů.

The presented work describes the open dispute between the town of Turnov and its governing authority, Count of Waldstein, which took place between 1708 and 1714, with strong repercussions years later. The course of the dispute is reconstructed from available sources. Special care is given to the period terminology in the sphere of subjection.
