Článek se zabývá prvním pokusem o dorozumění skupiny realistů se staročeskou stranou na počátku roku 1889. Jádrem článku je kritická komentovaná edice rukopisných záznamů přímých aktérů jednání - T. G. Masaryka, A. Bráfa a J. Kalouska. Komparací nově editovaných dokumentů s memoárovou literaturou též sleduje proměnu paměti událostí z roku 1889.

The article deals with the first conciliation attempt of a group of the Realists with the Old-Czech National Party at the beginning of 1889. The main part of the article is a critical annotated edition of the holographs written by the direct actors of the discussion - T. G. Masaryk, A. Bráf, J. Kalousek. By a comparison of these newly edited documents with the reminiscences of the actors, the article also observes the change of the memory on the historical events of 1889.
