ohraniční mikroregion Orlicko zahrnuje čtyři malá města a cca 70 venkovských sídel, z nichž 45 má méně než 200 obyvatel.

The borderland Orlice microregion consists of four small towns and about 70 rural settlements of which 45 have a population below 200. The microregion shows a mild population increase at the present time. Administrative centres are Žamberk and Králíky, whereas Letohrad and Jablonné nad Orlicí are centres of jobs in industries. The economic structure is rural with the highest share of employees in industries and with nearly 10% of employment in the primary sectors. Social services are of considerable significance. The tourism disposes with attractions for winter sports, summer hiking, possibilities of religious and military tourism. After the WWII, the German population was substituted by Slavonic nationals. Tendencies that could affect the future development are as follows: possible development of tourism for middle- and lower classes, certain revitalization of agriculture, a closer cross-border cooperation with Polish subjects, population ageing, general orientation to educational society.
