The broadband light source of white-light interferometry is replaced by two laser diodes. At the output of the interferometer a beat pattern arises. This pattern is used for the determination of the position of the object's surface.

Polychromatický zdroj světla u interferometrie v bílém světle je nahrazen dvěma laserovými diodami. Na výstupu interferometru se objeví záznějový signál. Tento signál je použit pro stanovení polohy povrchu měřeného předmětu.
