The present article deals with the simulation of rainfall-runoff using SAC-SMA and BROOK models. Runoff components (direct runoff, interflow and baseflow) were simulated in the selected basins. The length of the evaluated time series is significant as it permits to follow the influence of the vegetation development, which affects evapotranspiration demand. As the meaningful phenomenon appears the diverse hydrogeological conditions in the area with the crystalline or sedimentary bedrocks. Comparison of monitored water levels in the boreholes and/or of spring discharge fluctuations with the variability of simulated water storage in the basin may facilitate the identification of parameters of baseflow simulation.
