Der Beitrag befasst sich mit der Tradition Konstantins des Großen bei Karl IV. Stellt fest, dass sich Karl IV. zu seinem Vorgänger bekennte und ihn bewusst einmal nachgeahmt hat. Posthum wurde er mit ihm verglichen.
