Článek se zaměřuje na způsob a význam výzkumu aristokratických sídel, jak se mu věnuje prestižní Letní škola nadace v Attinghamu ve Velké Británii. Škola je organizována formou exkurse, která umožní studentům během tří týdnů navštívit několik desítek objektů a seznámit se i se zásadami, které v této oblasti sledují privátní majitelé, popř. organizace National Trust a British Heritage.

Article deals with the information about methods used in the study of the aristocratic houses in Britain during the Summer School, organised by the Attingham Trust. During three weeks participants have chance to visit some dozens of country houses, administrated as well by private sector as by National Trust and British Heritage to compare ways, how the research is fostered and presentation of castles is made.
