The purpose of this study was to demonstrate the accumulation and distribution of lipids in the liver of the adult Prague Hereditary Hypertriglyceridemic (HHTg) rats. Staining for triglycerides and phopholipids demonstrated a higher amount of lipids in the liver of HHTg rats themselves or those treated with carbenoxolone. The inhibition of 11beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase 1 activity had no effect on the lipid content in the liver of the HHTg rats

Účelem této studie bylo ukázat hromadění a distribuci lipidů v játrech Pražských hereditárních hypertriglyceridemických (HHTg) potkanů. Barvení znázorňující triglyceridy a fosfolipidy ukázalo zvýšené množství lipidů v játrech HHTg potkanů a to i těch, kteří byli ovlivněni karbenoxolonem. Inhibice aktivity 11beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenasy1 neovlivnila obsah lipidů v játrech HHTg potkanů
