Stať se vrací k zapomenutému upozornění Josepha Neuwirtha, editora středověkých stavebních účtů katedrály sv. Víta, z konce 19. století. Souhlasí s autorem, že zastavení prací na katedrále v Praze koncem roku 1378 souviselo s těžkým onemocněním a posléze úmrtím císaře Karla IV.

The article deals with a forgotten notice from the end of the 19th century written by Joseph Neuwirth, an editor of medieval building accounts of St. Vitus Cathedral. He agrees with the autor that there is a likely connection between severe illness and subsequently death of emperor Charles IV and suspension of works on the Cathedral.
