Pomocí kvantitativní analýzy dat autorka identifikovala faktory, které mají vliv na prodlužování období bezdětnosti a míru bezdětnosti v české společnosti mezigeneračně, a identifikovala rovněž faktory, jejichž vliv na prodlužování období bezdětnosti v současné době posiluje. Kvalitativní analýza dat vedla k předložení takového modelu bezdětnosti a prodlužování období bezdětnosti, který respektuje definice a vnímání vlastní bezdětnosti konstruované bezdětnými muži a ženami.

The book focuses on the phenomenon of childlessness in the Czech society. Specifically, the aim of the book was to identify the factors contributing to childlessness and the increase in the percentage of the childless in young adult population, and to explore the understanding (definitions) of childlessness by the childless.
