Dvořák und Kvapils Rusalka (1900-1901)stellt für manche Zuhörer immer noch ein schlichtes und sentimentales Märchen aus der Tradition des 19. Jhs. dar. Der Aufsatz konzentriert sich auf die Titelrolle und den 3. Akt der Oper und versucht diejenige Motive hervorzuheben, die auf den Kontext des 20. Jhs. hinweisen.

For some audiences, Dvořák and Kvapil’s Rusalka (1900-1901) still represents some kind of simple and sentimental 19th century fairytale. The article concentrates on the title role and the third act of the opera, trying to point out the moments which lead to the context of the 20th century.

Dvořákova a Kvapilova Rusalka (1900-1901) představuje stále ještě pro mnohé posluchače především prostou a sentimentální pohádku rostoucí z tradice 19. století. Předložený článek se soustřeďuje na titulní postavu a na 3. dějství opery a snaží se poukázat na ty momenty, které toto dílo řadí do kontextu 20. století.
