Biodiversity and abundance of carabid beetles in potato field with Bt transgenic cultivar was higher than in potato field with conventional cultivar sprayed with insecticide. The species Poecilus cupreus, Poecilus versicolor and Harpalus rufipes dominated in the Samokov region in 2000 and 2004, and Zabrus spinipes, Harpalus distinguendus and H. rufipes dominated in the region of Ithiman in 2001.

Biodiverzita a početnost střevlíků byla vyšší na bramborovém poli s Bt transgenní odrůdou než na poli s konvenční odrůdou brambor. Druhy Poecilus cupreus, Poecilus versicolor a Harpalus rufipes dominovali v oblasti Samokova v letech 2000 a 2004, zatímco druhy Zabrus spinipes, Harpalus distinguendus a H. rufipes dominovali poblíž Ithimanu v roce 2001.
