V první části knihy je zmíněna fyzikální podstata hoření, včetně rozdělení této reakce podle rychlosti jejího šíření. Druhá část je věnována komentované přehlídce historických zobrazení známých světových a domácích požárů. Poslední část knihy se zabývá moderním způsobům zmáhání požárů, způsobům kompenzace požárních škod s sanačními pracemi.

The first part of the book deals with the physical fundaments of burning and distribution of various types of burning according to propagation velocity of this oxidation process. In the second part a commented pictorial exhibition through famous historical fires, which occurred abroad and in the Czech countries, is displayed. In the last part of the book modern methods and technologies of fire extinction, fire damage mitigation and compensation and are discussed and commented, including the after-fire sanitation works.
