    Bimolecular collisions of mass-selected SiF32+ dications with argon lead to the argon-difluorosilylene dication ArSiF22+ as the major product at thermal energies. The dication bears a covalent Ar−Si bond and thus represents an example of a new class of rare-gas compounds.
