The study analyses the deployment of the relatively numerous Roman military posts, especially temporary camps in the region north to the Middle Danube. They indicate that there were two main starting points of the Roman military campaigns, one in the South Slovakia, in the region north of Brigetio, and the other one in the surroundings of the immense Roman fort at Burgstall-Mušov, in the area of Thaya-Svratka Rivers and Austrian - Moravian borderland. The overriding objective point of the Roman strategy has been there the pacification of the Marcomannic tribal center, and perhaps also establishing of a political situation convenient for the Romans.
