Studie se zaměřuje na fenomén přesídlování etnických Čechů, Slováků, Poláků a Němců z území bývalého Sovětského svazu do vlasti jejich předků. Důraz je kladen především na 90. léta 20. století. Text sleduje jak na podmínky přesídlování, shodné rysy a rozdíly jak vyplývají z dostupné literatury, tak i výsledky empirických výzkumů prováděných etnografy, sociology a historiky v nových životních podmínkách přesídlenců.

The article focuses on the problem of resettlement and is centered especially on the period of the 1190s. After the disintegration of the Soviet Union in the year 1991 important streams of migration occurred, especially out of those former Soviet republics with certain ethnic minorities. The Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland as well as Germany arranged conditions for resettlement of their countrymen to their countries – both legal and material. While in the case of Czechs, Slovaks and Poles smaller groups were resettled (1-3 thousand), there were about 2 millions of ethnic Germans included.
