Emotionally charged objects (relics) were used in the politically motivated manipulation of a particular medieval memory to return the Czech Utraquists to Catholicism. Bishop Phillibert of Coutances, a Catholic prelate, called on memories of the past, re-staged earlier Catholic ceremonies and celebrated relics collected by Emperor Charles IV before the Hussite Reformation.

Relikvie byly použity při politicky motivované manipulaci středověké paměti s cílem obrátit české utrakvisty zpět ke katolicismu. Biskup Phillibert z Coutances využívá paměti současníků a pomocí katolických obřadů a relikvií sbíraných Karlem IV v předhusitské době se snaží přivést Pražany zpět ke katolické praxi.
