The article presents an analysis of heavy short-term precipitation for the warm part of the year in the Czech Republic. Precipitation data are prepared for the years 2002–2007 with a horizontal resolution of 1 km and a temporal resolution of 1 h. The basic result of the study shows that positions of precipitattion lasting from 1 to 3 hours do not depend on topografy.

Článek prezentuje analýzu významných krátkodobých srážek v teplém období roku. Na území ČR Použitá srážková data jsou z let 2002 až 2007 a jejich horizontální a časové rozlišení je 1 km a 1 hodina. Základním výsledkem je prokázání, že intenzivní krátkodobé srážky s délkou trvání 1 až 3 hodiny nejsou vázány na orografii.
