Monografie (kniha s přílohou v podobě dvou DVD s osmidílným cyklem dokumentárních filmů v české a anglické verzi) navazuje na filmovou dokumentaci betlemářství v ČR. Kapitoly publikace jsou věnovány teoretickým aspektům problematiky, tradičním betlemářským střediskům i specifickým formám betlémů. Zhruba desetiletý odstup od natáčení umožnil autorům srovnání životnosti tradic ve dvou časových rovinách.

Monograph (a book to which two DVDs are enclosed with cycle of documentary films in eight parts, in Czech and English version) follows up with the film documentation of the history of making of nativity scenes (betlém) in the Czech Republic. The book is dedicated to the theory, traditional centers of production and specific forms of nativity scenes. The interval of approximately ten years form the recording of the films enabled the authors to compare the viability of the tradition.
