Nejvýznamnější roli v osudech pobělohorské emigrace, jejímž centrem bylo Lešno, sehrála ze slezských měst Vratislav a Břeh. Do Slezska se uchýlila rovněž většina utečenců po požáru Lešna v roce 1656.
