    Creep deformation of extruded magnesium, prepared via a powder metallurgical route with a final hot extrusion, is examined in the temperature range of 473–623 K. The greatest creep resistance is observed in specimens with the stress axis parallel to the extrusion axis and the lowest at declinations between 45° and 90°. Most of this orientation dependence can be accounted for by the variation in the resolved shear stress on the basal slip planes.

    Creepová deformace protlačovaného hořčíku připraveného práškově metalurgickým postupem se závěrečným protlačováním za tepla byla studována v teplotním rozmezí 473 až 623 K. Největší creepový odpor je pozorován u vzorků s osou napětí rovnoběžnou s osou protlačování, nejmenší při odklonech mezi 45° a 90°. Většina této orientační závislosti může být vysvětlena změnami složky smykového napětí v bazálních skluzových rovinách.
