Author analyzed activities of the Czech Academy of Sciences and Arts, the predecessor of nowadays Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, in 1918-1938. She commented above all administration of the Academy and efforts to reorganize its affairs, she dealt with its publishing work, the work of reorganization committee, committees for awarding prizes, rewards and grants, and characterized its international activities.
