The review surveys the literature dealing with food relationships of coccidophagous, aleurodophagous and psyllophagous coccinellids. Special attention is given to the physiological and environmental factors that affect the nutritive suitability of prey. In particular, the physiological states and developmental stages of the predator and prey species, sensory cues used in foraging, interspecific differences in the suitability of prey, the effects of host plants on prey-predator interactions, and climatic and seasonal effects on predation are discussed.

Review shrnuje údaje o potravních vztazích kokcidofágních, aleurodofágních a psylofágních slunéček. Důraz je věnován hlavně fyziologickým a ekologickým faktorům, které ovlivňují nutriční vhodnost kořisti. Speciálně jsou diskutovány: fyziologický stav a vývojové stadium predátora a kořisti, informace pro smyslové orgány používané při hledání kořisti, mezidruhové rozdíly ve vhodnosti kořisti, role hostitelske rostliny, a klimatické a sezonní vlivy na predaci.
