    Dinuclear gold(III) clusters with a rhombic Au2O2 core and substituted 2,2'-bipyridyl ligands are examined by tandem mass spectrometry. The fragmentation behavior of the mass-selected dications reveals an exceptionally pronounced effect of substitution.
