The study centres on the meaning of the lifelike flies depicted on pages of some medieval manuscripts. It also examines the relationship between picture and text. Furthermore, the author demonstrates several types of moral allegory conveyed by different works of art.
Studie se zabývá otázkou, jaký význam měly iluzivně zobrazené mouchy na stránkách rukopisů, zkoumá vztah obrazu k textu a na jednotlivých památkách demonstruje různé typy morální alegorie.
