The article examines the perception of national and European identities from the viewpoint of political and economic elite. It examines the components of both identities, the relationship between national and European identities. The study is based on quantitative survey and compares elite in the Czech Republic with elite in Old and New member states.

Stať se zabývá pojetím národní a evropské identity z pohledu politických a ekonomických elit. Zkoumá různé komponenty obou typů identity, vztah mezi národní a evropskou identitou. Stať je založena na výsledcích quanitativního výzkumu a porovnává české elity s elitami ve starých a nových členských zemích.
