The empty density of states at the copper absorption edge has been obtained from the experimental resonant inelastic x-ray scattering spectra (RIXS) of CuO using a numerical method for solving first-kind Fredholm integral equations. So-called “hidden electronic excitation” of CuO has been identified as a very weak core excitation.

Hustota neobsazených stavů u absorpční hrany mědi byla získána inverzí experimentálních spekter rentgenového rezonančního nepružného rozptylu (RIXS) v CuO s použitím numerické metody pro řešení Fredholhových integrálních rovnic prvního řádu. Takzvané “skryté elektronové excitace” v CuO byly interpretovány jako velmi slabé excitace z vnitřních hladin.
