Alzheimer’s disease is from its start associated with a loss of spatial navigation. The aim of the study was to distinguish two subtypes of mild cognitive impairment, preceding the Alzheimer’s disease, by spatial navigation test. Large differences in spatial navigation score were found between the hippocampal and non-hippocampal subtypes, regardless of their similarities in other cognitive measures

Alzheimerova nemoc je od svého počátku spojena s výpadky prostorové navigace. Cílem studie bylo rozlišit dva podtypy mírné kognitivní poruchy, která předchází Alzheimerovu chorobu, a to pomocí testu prostorové navigace. Byly nalezeny velké rozdíly v navigačním skóre mezi jejím hipokampální a nehipokampálním podtypem, i přes jejich podobnost v jiných kognitivních proměnných
