Memantine exhibits both anti- and proconvulsant and behavioral effects typical for NMDA antagonists. Ifenprodil exhibited the same effect in 12-day-old rats, but its anticonvulsant action in 18-day-old rats is accompanied by a decrease in locomotion

Memantin vykazuje antikonvulsivní a nežádoucí behaviorální úřčinky typické pro antagonisty NMDA receptorů. Ifenprodil má tyto účinky u 12denních mláďat, antikonvulsivní účinek u 18denních je provázen naopak sníženou lokomoční aktivitou
