The paper shows that 5-HT-depleted rats are able to manage the active place avoidance task. The results suggest that despite serotonin is clearly involved in cognition in humans; it appears not to be involved in cognitive coordination in rats
Článek ukazuje, že po serotoninové depleci (vyprázdnění zásob) jsou laboratorní potkani schopni učit se úlohy vyhýbání se místu. To naznačuje, že ačkoliv je serotonin klíčový pro kognitivní funkce u lidí, hraje omezenou roli v procesu kogntiivní koordinace u potkanů
