    Study of 13C-labeled, C3'-O-P-13CH2-O-C4'' phosphonate internucleotide linkage in model thymidine dimer by means of NMR spectroscopy, MD simulations and ab initio calculations provided a thorough stereochemical evaluation of the linkage which is an isosteric alternative to the natural phosphodiester bond.
