A regional survey of the complex tritrophic associations (parasitoid-aphid-plant) of aphid parasitoids was carried out to determine and explore the patterns of those associations in various types of environments. The results were compared in a regional mediterranean versus continental context.The correspondence of parasitoid-aphid combinations among habitat region combinations is very high and specific.The Mediterranean and continental regions are clearly distinguished by a contrasting pattern of trophic interactions in crop habitats, whereas the noncrop habitats contribute in lesser degree to these differences.Although not easily quantified, the overall positive effects of larger parasitioid diversity in noncrop habitats are undoubtedly related to the distribution and structure of noncrop habitats patches in agroecosystems at a landscape scale.

Cílem regionálního výzkumu byl komplex tritrofických asociací (parazitoid-mšice-rostlina) parazitoidů mšic v různých typech prostředí. Výsledky byly srovnány v kontextu Středozemí a kontinentu.Obě oblasti se zřetelně lišily v trofických interakcích v kulturních plodinách, zatím co mimo -kulturní biotopy vykazovaly meně odlišnosti.I když nejsou snadno kvantifikovatelné, celkové positivní účinky diverzity parasitoidů v mimo -kulturních systémech ve vztahu k rozšíření a struktuře ostrůvkovitých biotopů v agroekosystémech v krajinném měřítku jsou zřejmé.
