Article deals with investigation of physical and mechanical properties of trabecular bone. Non-destructive ultrasonic tests and heat measurements were used to determine the modulus of elasticity of each sample. The velocity of longitudinal ultrasonic waves' propagation depends on the mechanical properties of the material, so the Young's modulus can be obtained from the formula coupling elasticity modulus, wave velocity and bone density.
Článek se zabývá nedestruktivní metodou určování materiálových vlastnosti trabekularní kosti založené na měření rychlosti šíření ultrazvukových vln v materiálu a jeho hustoty.
