The understanding of short-range dispersion of air-borne substances within the urban canopy is crucial to predict spread of such pollutants. The idealised urban canopies were created by regular cubes which were collocated at three different packing densities and two different patterns. The flow and concentration of the passive tracer released from the ground level source were measured simultaneously. The comparison of those fluxes within 6 different arrangements of idealised urban canopies is shown and the importance of a proper determination of the turbulent fluxes at the edge of the plume and above the roof top level is emphasised

Porozumění procesu rozptylu plynné příměsi v atmosféře na krátkou vzdálenost je zásadní pro věrohodnou předpověď šíření znečištění. Idealizovaná městská zástavba tvořená krychlemi v pravidelném uspořádání byla vytvořena v aerodynamickém tunelu za účelem studia obecných zákonitostí šíření znečištění v reálné atmosféře. Rychlost proudění a šíření pasivní příměsi z bodového přízemního zdroje byli měřeny současně. Toky pasivní příměsi byly srovnány pro 6 různých idealizovaných zástaveb a bylo zjištěno, že turbulentní toky hrají významnou roli na krajích kouřové vlečky a nad střechami.
