    Multilayer amorphous diamond–like carbon films with graded silicon and oxygen contents exhibiting hardness in the range from 16 to 24 GPa were deposited using low pressure PECVD. The films were optimized for deposition on steel substrates. To evaluate the impact resistance of graded amorphous carbon films in dynamic loading wear applications an impact has been used.

    Multivrstvé amorfní DLC povlaky s gradovaným obsahem křemíku a kyslíku, deponované nízkotlakým PECVD, vykazují tvrdost v rozmezí 16 až 24 GPa. Vrstvy byly optimalizovány pro depozici na ocelové podložky. Odolnost povlaků pro aplikace, kde je systém dynamicky namáhán, byla vyhodnocována impaktním testem.
